Quick update on the rest of my trip.

Saturday, I met up with my friend Mal and a bunch of her friends and I ended up going downtown because the fireworks at Navy Pier were rained out. At the end of the night, I accidentally dropped my glass while dancing and went up to the bar to get another and this dude starts hitting on me. He ended up going out with my friends and paying for our cab. He also paid for a cab back to his place where there was nowhere to sleep because his friends had people over. We ended up sleeping outside on a balcony, where we ended up messing around. I woke up at 5 am in a lawn chair naked on top of him, shaking from the wind. We went back inside but only slept for an hour before his friends woke us up. I found out his name is Matt, he's 23 and an engineer and we exchanged numbers. He later added me on facebook and we briefly talked online last night. he's very charming and an excellent dresser. The kiss was pretty spectacular, too. hah.

Anyway, I had to walk through Wrigleyvlle at 9 in the morning looking a hot mess and ride the shame train back to Wicker Park. Then we went to the Pride Parade, which was amazing. I ended up going to Taste of Chicago again on Sunday and it was even hotter and more crowded.

Yesterday, I had my lj meet-up with [info]the_odd_one down at Millennium Park. I got lost again after getting off the train so we got off to a late start but we ate at this cafe and then walked around downtown until I had to leave for the airport.

At the airport, I realized how awkward I am in real life. And it's not like I do it purposely, I'm like Chandler Bing. I was waiting to board the plane back to Omaha, and I saw this guy I recognized, so I asked if he was a bartender at Flixx. He said yes and we made small talk and as we were boarding, I asked to sit with him (not because I wanted to hit on him but because I hate sitting next to strangers on planes) and he started stuttering before spitting out that his friend had saved him a seat. So I ended up next to cranky bitch and a dad and kids, and after we landed he got off the plane alone. I need to learn to keep my mouth shut.

Part of me is so glad to be home relaxing and the other part is telling me to get my ass back to out to Chicago next month. This trip solidified my love for the great friends and opportunities Chicago has to offer and also made me appreciate my car like no other. PUBLIC CTA SUCK MY COCK.
